Paris Ramen

Paris Ramen

I was in Paris for the weekend and I went to check out qualities of Ramen that Paris offers.
Historically many Japanese have been coming to Paris to be part of the culinary industry or to learn to cook French cuisine.. And of course Paris is the capital of good food, so you can expect good Japanese food here too..

There is a small area in the 1st district, which you can kind of call like ‘Japan town’ but not big or as defined as China town.

So I went along there looking for Naritake, which was reviewed as one of the best Ramen.

I arrived around 1PM on Saturday… I was under estimating how popular Ramen and Japanese food is to French people!

There was a long queue and they said it will take at least 45minutes till we are served.
Ok.. I  love Ramen but the hype for Ramen in Paris was blown out of proportion… These fashionable Parisians!
Ramen is Ramen, originally snack noodle.. I grew up eating like Italian eat pizza or German eat Curry wurst. Do Frenchys queue up 45 minutes for a good baguette?

So I decided give up Naritake to go to other Ramen joints..

No! All Ramen joints and some restaurants had long queues and I gave up and went to Udon place called Sanuki. It was ok but I really wanted Ramen!
