Ramen Ichiban Auckland – Tonkotsu

Ramen Ichiban Auckland – Tonkotsu

Tonkotsu Ramen

I have been to this venue before and I knew it wasn’t that great. But being a bit tipsy in Auckland city at 2am on Tuesday night There aren’t many places you can eat.

Ichiban opens late on week nights because it is next to Japanese Karaoke bars and caters to this not so many Japanese salary men crowd.

I ordered Tonkotsu knowing its one of the harder ramen to make (Basically too hard for these guys)as they have to get the white pork soup right. Sure enough soup was a joke.

Soup 1/5
Quite similar to instant

Noodle 1/5
very similar to Nama men you get as frozen package.

Topping 2/5
Bean sprouts anyone?

Simply poor Tonkotsu. Only good thing is it’s open late.

This restaurant would go bankrupt not only in Japan but many other countries.

Overall:

1 / 5 stars
