Ramen Takara Auckland – Shoyu

Ramen Takara Auckland – Shoyu

Ramen Takara, Brownsbay Auckland So we drove outside central Auckland to try this Ramen joint. I have been hearing good rumours.I ordered Shoyu Ramen which is their main flavour. I asked for Chashu (pork) on the side so that I can taste pure broth to start off with.

REMEMBER! – Always order their main flavour which is often at the top of the menu. Especially when you are going there to test out. Only later on when you visted the restaurant few time, you can order other variation!
Soup 5/5
I rarely finish the soup but this time I finished all of it! It felt it lacked a bit of punch or sex at first but in the end we all finished the soup so perhaps too much sex on soup is not necessary here.
Topping 4/5
Good Chasyu as you can see on pic.
And eggs are done nicely too.Noodle 4/5
It was just the right amount and right thickness.

Atmosphere 5/5
It’s a bit of a drive but where in Japan can you eat Ramen next to a beach and listen to the sound of waves? And interior of the restaurant is quite neat and clean and authentic.

Service 5/5
We had this Japanese kiwi gay waiter who was really funny. He kept cracking jokes.
Also they serve Edamame as free entree with beers.

Price 4/5
Shoyu Ramen is $9.50. This is a great deal.

Ok! Perhaps I am being biased but this restaurant serves top class ramen on international level.
And this Ramen restaurant will not go bankrupt in Japan.
